COVID GUIDELINES FOR FACE TO FACE SESSIONS
Please read the following guidelines and complete the form at the bottom of the page.
This guidance is to keep our fantastic young folks safe as well as all Jubacana staff.
BEFORE A SESSION
IF YOU OR A MEMBER OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAVE ANY COVID SYMPTOMS OR HAVE BEEN ASKED TO ISOLATE FROM SCHOOL/COLLEGE/UNI/WORK, DO NOT ATTEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
ON ARRIVAL
Parents are advised to allow 2 metre+ distance in the car park and entrance areas. Parents/families dropping off children are advised to wait outside and not enter the building.
One of the team will be at the door to greet you. Young people and families will be given a health check (set of questions to check if they have symptoms) at the door on arrival. Someone on the team will then guide your child to wear their mask when entering the building, and ask them to make use of the hand sanitiser on arrival. They will then be guided to the main space to set up their drum and get comfy, de-mask, and get settled in for a fun session.
Session leaders will ensure all communal surfaces and areas are fully cleaned at the start and end of the session, and where any additional attention is required.
Young people must wear a mask on arrival, entering the building, and at any time they are not ‘in rehearsal’ moving around.
PARENTS – please ensure your child attends with a mask.
No mask, no entry
Bring along all drums and accessories as we will try to keep instrument swapping to an absolute minimum.
DURING THE SESSION
Floor markers are measured out and placed at a 2metre distance with a chair or space for each individual’s belongings to stay during the session.
We will not provide drinks or snacks for these first sessions back. Please bring your own drink and snack for now.
One team member will keep a paper register for track and trace purposes.
We aim to do a private Jubacana Facebook live/Zoom during the session so that anyone not attending that night can play or listen along at home – this is the best way we can include everyone at once for now.
Young people are permitted to use the toilet but are advised that they can only do this one at a time. They will be asked to wear a mask when going to and from the toilet.
8:15pm ONWARDS
In the event of urgently needing to enter the building, parents are advised to wear a mask and remain 2 metres apart otherwise we request parents wait for their children in the car or outside.
If for any reason on the night you need to contact anyone call Dan on: 07879 065743.
Each group member takes home their borrowed instruments and cleans them at home or before leaving the building if they wish. In the event of any instruments being shared during the session, one of the team will do this immediately.
SUBS
Weekly subs will be requested again for these sessions at £4 or whatever can be contributed that week (usual arrangement). This should be done ONLINE as we will not be handling cash.
IN THE EVENT OF BEING REQUESTED TO ISOLATE OR A SUSPECT COVID CASE – YOU SHOULD INFORM HOLLY PREST IMMEDIATELY, WHO CAN THEN INFORM ANYONE WHO HAS ATTENDED (PLUS INFORM THE COMMUNITY CENTRE TEAM).
